HARTWEEK
No jury. No curation. No gatekeeping. Every space, studio, and initiative in Berlin gets a place on the program — you just have to go HART.
Berlin Art Week gatekeeps. HARTWEEK doesn't.
Every September, Berlin Art Week runs a competitive "Featured" selection — a handful of spaces chosen out of hundreds that apply. HARTWEEK is the open program running alongside it: any gallery, project space, studio, collective, or artist-run initiative in Berlin can register and be listed on the official HARTWEEK program during Art Week. Organized by ExtractArt, for the parts of the scene that don't wait for permission.
Open to everyone
No application review, no committee. If you're a real space or initiative in Berlin, you're in.
Same week, same energy
Runs September 9–13, alongside Berlin Art Week, when the whole city is already paying attention.
One shared program
Every registered project appears on the official HARTWEEK site and program — visible, findable, together.
